A devastating house explosion in Defiance, Missouri, on Friday morning took the lives of brothers Julian, 4, and Jamison Keiser, 6. With schools closed due to severe weather, the boys were at home with their mother and grandparents when the blast occurred. The adults managed to escape, but firefighters were unable to reach the children in time.
Neighbors described Julian and Jamison as joyful, curious boys who loved school. “They thought school was the coolest thing ever,” said family friend Sharon Oberlag.
The loss has shaken the community. Local businesses, friends, and neighbors have rallied to support the family, with a GoFundMe raising over $145,000. A wreath placed at the ruins stands as a quiet reminder of two young lives taken too soon.
Though the pain is deep, the community is holding on to the memory of Julian and Jamison—bright, happy boys who were deeply loved.
