GOODBYE LEGEND The beloved star has died, leaving the world in shock. Fans from all over have gathered to say their final goodbyes.

Family, friends, and fans came together to say a heartfelt goodbye to Rob Burrow, the beloved Leeds Rhinos and England rugby star who passed away on June 2 at just 41 after a courageous battle with motor neurone disease (MND).

A civil reception was held at Leeds Civic Hall to honor Rob’s life, attended by his family, friends, former teammates, and community leaders. Earlier that day, hundreds lined the streets—many wearing Leeds Rhinos shirts—as Rob’s funeral cortege passed by. His wife Lindsey, their three children, and his close family followed the hearse, which paused at Featherstone Lions ARLFC, where Rob began his rugby journey.

Rob, who was diagnosed with MND in 2019, spent his final years raising awareness and funds for the cause. Just hours before his passing, ground was broken on a new MND research center that will bear his name.

In a moving final message shared after his death, Rob urged others to “not waste a moment” of life and to “dare to dream” despite adversity. His wife Lindsey called him a man who “made the world a better place.”

Rob’s legacy of courage, kindness, and determination continues to inspire—both on and off the field.
