Erin and Abby Delaney were born in July 2016 in Philadelphia as craniopagus twins — joined at the head, with fused skulls and shared brain tissue. Doctors knew survival would require an almost impossible surgery.
At just 10 months old, a team of surgeons performed a ten-hour operation to separate the girls. The risks were enormous — even a millimeter’s mistake could have cost a life. Miraculously, both Erin and Abby survived.
Their journey didn’t end there. They had to relearn everything — from holding up their heads to sitting and moving. With endless rehab, medical care, and the love of their family, the sisters slowly grew stronger.
Today, the girls are 9 years old. Their development is a little different from other kids, but they live happy, playful lives. Their mom says the most precious moment is watching them fall asleep in each other’s arms — something once thought impossible.
A true miracle of medicine and love. 🌟
