A mother is facing investigation after police say she left her young daughter alone in a parked car for nearly two hours while she exercised at a local gym on a sweltering afternoon. Temperatures outside topped 90°F (32°C), and witnesses reported seeing the child sweating and visibly upset before calling 911.
Officers arrived to find the girl still inside the vehicle, with no air conditioning running. The mother returned minutes later, insisting she’d only been gone briefly — but gym security footage showed otherwise.
