Milwaukee sicko gets life in prison for killing, dismembering college student on first date

A Milwaukee man, Maxwell Anderson, was sentenced to life in prison without parole on Friday for the brutal murder and dismemberment of 19-year-old Sade Robinson during their first date in April 2024.

Anderson was convicted in June of first-degree intentional homicide, mutilating a corpse, and arson. Though he maintained his innocence, the evidence showed he killed Robinson after they spent an evening drinking together, later dismembered her body, and scattered her remains across several locations near Lake Michigan. Her head has never been found.

At the emotional sentencing, Sade’s parents delivered gut-wrenching statements. Her mother called Anderson a “demon” and said he shattered the entire community. Her father said the crime was so horrific, Anderson deserved the same fate.

Judge Laura Crivello rejected Anderson’s claims of innocence and his lawyer’s request for parole eligibility. She described the crime as something “out of a horror story” and said Anderson showed no remorse.

Prosecutors revealed that Anderson had groped Sade while she was likely incapacitated. After killing her, he dumped her body parts in parks, near playgrounds, and burned her car.

Despite his claims of a wrongful conviction, the judge declared Anderson’s view of reality “not grounded in truth.” She sentenced him to additional time for mutilating the corpse and arson, calling his actions “beyond comprehension.”
